The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.

Art Club is a welcoming place for students who have a deep passion for the visual arts. We provide training in the areas of the 2 and 3 dimensional art forms as well as craft works. Members will also attend art exhibitions and other art-related events to develop art appreciation skills.

Art Club members also assist in school events that require an aesthetic touch.

ISAS Fine Arts Students visit Painting Exhibition

In its pursuit to fully acquaint the students with the nuances of art and to provide them an enriched global outlook, Indian Embassy organized a visit to the Painting Exhibition at the Omani Fine Arts Society on Sunday, 12th November, 2017.

A group of 14 fine arts students of Class XI E and XII F witnessed the Painting Exhibition with the Fine Arts teacher Mr. V. Saiman.

The Exhibition consists of portraits of prominent Omani and Indian Leaders and paintings of Arts & crafts from Oman and India, made by Indian artist Mr. Sedunath Prabhakar.

Besides, 30 paintings by Indian artists based in Muscat depicting unique and representative places and people from 29 states and Delhi also was displayed.  

The students were marveled at the display of various forms of art which, indeed, was highly informative. The visit gave them a wide exposure and honed their innate artistic talents.

Principal Mr. Nagesh Kelkar & the Vice- Principal Ms. Shiney Roy extended their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Alex C. Joseph Asst. Education Advisor, Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman for inviting the students to Omani Fine Arts Society and for opening up vistas of art before them. They also opined that such frequent visits will help the students update their knowledge and get an insight into the modern forms of art.
